Anxiety Attacks And Panic Attacks

Anxiety and panic attacks afflict millions of people. We all have anxiety and sometimes panic but not everyone has the kind that absolutely debilitate. If you are one of the many that experience anxiety that leads to panic that completely takes you out of your normal ability to function, this is for you!

Imagine not being able to get up in the morning and face the day because you are so panicked you cannot even get out of bed. You shake because the feeling is so overwhelming. In spite of the panic, you force yourself to get up because you must go to work or because you need to at least eat something to keep from dying. Or, imagine yourself not being able to get on an airplane because the fear has overcome you entirely.

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress. If you are healthy and can deal with stress, anxiety can help you perform better, study harder or focus upon important events. It is when the reaction becomes so overwhelming that panic sets in and normal tasks become enormous and difficult challenges.

Panic attacks are a surge of devastating fear that comes without warning or reason. They are many times more intense than mere anxiety. Studies show that one of every 75 will experience panic attacks at one time or another in their life.

Repeated panic attacks can become very disabling and it becomes necessary for one to seek treatment. Without the treatment, the fear can become so disabling that the victim cannot work or function normally. Fortunately panic attacks are not dangerous but they can literally scare the living daylights out of you and everyone around you.

My wife has experienced the debilitating kind of panic together with long periods of depression. We have sought medical attention for which there are several prescription drugs that have helped. These drugs have slowed her down so much that the side affect is almost as bad as the panic. I do not think this is the solution to the problem.

After searching far and wide for an alternative solution, we came across something that will works without drug therapy. There were may programs out there that merely teach you how to cope with the problem, but this actually helps you to understand the source and shows you the cure. As a spouse of one experiencing panic attacks, this is what I have been waiting for.
